Designing a logo is not as simple as opening Photoshop and using a couple of brushes. (If i find out any one is using Photoshop for logo’s i will personally kick their ass!) To do a logo successfully requires a little process which is what i am covering in this article today.

The Graphic Design Dictionary

These are all terms that ALL designers should know before entering a studio! if you dont know them, start reading!!
Most of these are printing terms but they do apply to everyday work. Specially when talking to a printer.
Against the Grain – Used to describe the direction of the grain on paper. Against the grain is at right angles to the grain direction being used, as compared to with the grain.

Align – Lining up characters and images on a document using a base or vertical line as a reference point.
